Dimethicone (Polydimethylsiloxane) Silicone Fluids
TERRAFLUID® DM serie Dimethicone (Polydimethylsiloxane) Silicone Fluid consists of high-purity, clear colorless and odourless silicone oils with unqiue specific features. They have excellent thermal and thermooxidative resistance, and they maintain their stabilities and functionalities at temperatures between -60 and +300°C. They are much more stable than other polymers toward electromagnetic and radiation such as UV, alpha, beta and gamma. They are water clear transparent, odourless, testless, non-hazardous and non-toxic. Their viscosities lie between 0.65 mm²/s and 1000000 mm²/s.
TERRAFLUID® DM serie Dimethicone (Polydimethylsiloxane) silicone fluids have extremely low volatility, excellent shear stability, low surface tension, and weathering resistance. They are ideal for the formulation of silicone emulsions for release, mold removal and brightening. It is particularly suitable as active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of fibers and textiles. It imparts a very soft, drapable, and elastic touch to woven and knitted fabrics. It is ideal for softening PES/cotton fabrics. It has only little effect on the degree of whiteness in a softener formulation. As part of formulations used as fill fiber finish, it imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fiber.

A reactive aminoethyl-aminopropyl functional polydimethylsiloxane. It is particularly suitable as active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of PES-fibers and PES-textiles. It imparts a very soft, drapable, and elastic touch to woven and knitted fabrics. It is ideal for softening PES and other synthetic fibers. It improves the wash-and-wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasion loss. It has only little effect on the degree of whiteness in a softener formulation. As a rule no adverse effect on the shade or color fastness properties of coloured goods is observed. As part of formulations used as fill fiber finish, it imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fiber.
